Common mistakes when using an exfoliating glove

Greseli frecvente la utilizarea manusii exfoliante - Legacy of Morocco

The exfoliating glove has been used in Moroccan hammams for centuries, these gloves are made from a biodegradable material that is rough to the touch but friendly to the skin.

The glove can be used with or without Beldi soap, we recommend using this soap because it prepares and makes the exfoliation process much easier.

The process is not that simple, to get the desired results you must follow the instructions, otherwise you will not have the desired effect.

The most common mistakes when using an exfoliating glove are:

  • Using shower gel beforehand or other products, even bath foam, affects the results. The only product we recommend is Beldi soap because it is made from natural olives and does not affect the results, and even improves them.
  • Using the glove on dry skin, the glove relies on friction to deliver the promised results, using it on dry skin can cause scratches and is not recommended.
  • The skin should be soft, sitting in the warmest water for at least 5 minutes is necessary.
  • Using it right before epilating can irritate the skin, it should be used afterwards to get rid of ingrown hairs under the skin.

Also, peeling, meaning dead skin that comes off, may or may not appear depending on your skin. Not all people have visible exfoliation, but that doesn't mean that the benefits of exfoliation are not obtained.
